Funtimes show.

Yes, the Pants show was amazing. Yes, you should be sorry if you missed it. Yes, they were as good as I remember. Maybe better.

Cheers to everyone who helped make Saturday one of the finest local rock shows ever. Especially to The Pants themselves. Pistol, Hutch, Tom and Neil: you make lovin’ fun.

That said, I think I need to call some old, non-Burlingtonian friends. We could maybe talk about stuff besides music. Lord knows, I could benefit from the different perspective.
It sucks to be surrounded by people but feeling lonely. That’s my B-town conundrum. Thank God for Brooke; the sanest, most ethical and supportive person on earth!

Man, don’t feel lonely! I’m here for ya. You like miniature golf? We should go! :)

Brooke

Awww. You’re welcome, love. I think we should take a vacation. What do you think about California?

And Bill, I love mini golf! Let’s go!

Jamie

I was SO elated and impressed Saturday night. One never knows what to expect after 10 years. As I write, the tears stream dwon, pooling amongst the stacks of paper work on my desk. I would agree they actually sounded BETTER than I remember. My only regret, I didn’t stick around long enough to thank the boys and see old friends and now back to my kafkaesque tomb

thank you Pants :)

Molly

Fine. I don’t like you either. Your face gives me hives.

Signed,
Chopped liver

casey

Sheesh! that’s the last time I grovel for sympathy…

Well, probably not.

I would say I thoroughly enjoy your company, but now that you’ve got hives, I’m not so sure!

Molly

Whatever. Hey, get me a Symbionese Liberation Army fridge magnet in CA.

Neil

Hanging out Sunday, I had a conversation with someone to the effect of: when do you ever get to do something like this? I mean, weddings, funerals, family reunions, high school/college reunions, maybe… But never to the degree that we all experienced it this past weekend.

I mean, fucking WOW. I just felt so lucky for the opportunity to be a part of it all. I’m so thankful for everyone that was a part of it, from all my old friends, to a whole bunch of people I STILL don’t know, to Seven Days and the whole goddamn city of Burlington.

I could personally use a round of minigolf, you two. I see an outing taking shape.

Kacey

Saturday night was amazing. Things were a bit different this time. I had to get a babysitter, I couldn’t drink as many beers and I had to be home earlier than I would have back in the day. What didn’t change was the music and the people. The show was great. Thank you to the band. I found myself in the front row again like I used to be. The old feeling came right back to me once you started playing. The energy in the crowd was insane. That night is perfect proof that this town has been asleep since you broke up. Thank you for waking us all up.

Dave

Thank you seven days for getting the pants back together for the show last saturday. it was the best time I have had in a very long time . I had forgotten how much I really miss seeing this band and am kinda bummed that this may never happen again. oh well, atleast I was able to see them again after all these years. thanks again, Dave ps. thanks Tom, eric, paul and neil.

I got back to SF and immediately went on a video shoot for a couple of days. I’m still processing what now seems like a dream. It was a fantastic experience. More than fun. I felt like the crowd was as big a part of it as the band. Thanks to everyone for coming and thanks Casey for making it happen.
