Found this clip of David Lee Roth singing Van Halen‘s "Running With the Devil" sans backing tracks over at MetalSucks. Those guys claim it’s old news, but I still think it’s awesome. Halen’s 1978 debut album was all about EVH, but it’s a trip to listen to the solo Roth vocal track. It’s kinda pitchy and more than a little buffoonish, but he totally sells it. There’s only one singer for VH, and it’s Diamond Dave.
