This post is lifted wholesale from an e-mail we received from Jay of SpittingOutTeeth/Aether Everywhere. It concerns last night's Larry King "interview" with John McCain (brought to you by Depend Undergarments.)
She has the instincts, she shares my worldview. I would remind you that
there was a obscure governor from Arkansas, that not too many years ago — that gained the presidency.
So. . . Sarah Palin and Bill Clinton were on equal footing to take on the role of President? Let's do some comparisons.
Bill Clinton – B.S. in Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Rhodes scholar at Oxford. Graduated from Yale Law School.
Sarah Palin – Finally graduated with a communications/journalism
undergrad degree from the University of Idaho (though it was the fourth
school she attended in five years).
Clinton – A leader of McGovern's 1972 presidential campaign. Elected
youngest governor of Arkansas in 1978 and served for over 10 years.
Practiced law in a private firm.
Sarah Palin – Served as City Council member of one of the smallest
towns in Alaska for four years. Mayor of same town for six. Governor
of fourth-smallest population state less than two years.
Yup. . . two peas in a pod all right. . .
Five days. Five days. Five days.
