I’ll be on a bus to the Big Apple.
Powell (as played by Jeffrey Wright) is the voice of conscience and reason in Oliver Stone‘s Bush "biopic," W. If you haven’t seen it yet, I strongly recommend it. We expected the film to be a withering comedy, but it actually paints a fairly sympathetic portrait of our Idiot-In-Chief. Josh Brolin deserves an Oscar.
But anyway, Colin Powell has somewhat redeemed himself on this day. He needed to be on the right side of history, lest his legacy be forever tarnished by his complicity in the Bush Doctrine. One small step for Powell, one giant leap (forward) for America.
Is it too late for Condi to endorse Barry?
Sixteen days, people!
