No, we aren’t gonna start charging for subscription. (But maybe we’ll go for non-profit status like the newspapers.)
Actually, we just wanted to let you know about a couple of minor tweaks that will hopefully enhance your overall Contrarian experience.
First up, you’ll now find that our “gravatars” — those images at the upper-left hand corner of each post that hip you to who wrote it — are now clickable. Go ahead and do it; we can wait. Oh hai, ur back. So yeah, those icons are now clickable and take you to a bio page for the author that includes all of their posts. That should really aid your stalking.
Oh, and you know that goofy box on the upper right hand side of the page? Well, we reordered those tabs and put “comments” first, so visitors could see what the punkasses on our stoop are sayin.’ Thanks to everyone who suggested this change.
Lastly, the “continue reading” link at the bottom of the post has been removed. That thing really pissed me off, because we rarely divide our posts into above-and-below-the fold sections anyway. Had you ever clicked on the “continue reading” link (and I have zero idea why you would, other than some kind of hyperactivity), you’d have discovered a “share this” function. What good does it do to bury that? No good at all. So we moved it right under the post itself, next to a handy new “comment” tab. You are encouraged to spread our Word across the ‘nets with gusto and devotion.
Next on my agenda: peace in the Middle East.
