Now, I’m talking about Rush Limbaugh, not the prog-rock pride of Canada. It’s just that, after the “stop picking on Palin” debacle, I just don’t know what criticisms of which conservative blowhards will incite a blog riot.
But I do know we can still pick on Clear Channel. Here’s a brief item from The Impolitic:
I won’t shed any tears if Clear Channel goes out of business but this is interesting. They’ve laid off 3,000 employees so far in an effort to trim $400 million from their costs. Coincidentally they signed a contract with Limbaugh for $400 million recently. They didn’t need to pay him so much. He had no where to go in a struggling radio industry.
And here’s a bit more in-depth reporting from Media Matters.
I guess you could say that fools Rush in where listenable radio dares to tread.
