Due to an unfortunate combination of much busy and little internet, I haven’t been able to check in for a while. Having chosen to evacuate my previous house-in-the-woods, I found my intended new house-in-the-woods not yet prepared for my arrival. I am therefore staying for a period, with ten thousand thanks and three bottles of Absinthe, in the company of my friend and Mythfather Agamemnon Cox. While certainly we have been writing, little of either of our work is what we would consider suitable for print. That said, keep an eye on this page for possible upcoming excerpts…
Meanwhile, here’s some stuff I wish I had time to talk more about:
–Nick Cave and Warren Ellis are writing music for an upcoming documentary on the sex trade in Cambodia. The Girls of Phnom Penh is scheduled for release later this year. Hopefully their names will bring more eyes to a horrible situation.
-Have I mentioned how much I love the French Black Metal/Shoegaze/Avant/Medieval/Rock circle including Alcest, Amesoeurs, Peste Noire and others? Well I do. I also love that new album by that band that’s been around forever, but Casey will have me whipped if I mention them. [Ed’s Note: You mean that pop act featuring America’s Youngest Teenager, Thurston Moore?]
-Looking for an amusing TV show about experimental physics and creepy children? Try this one. If possible, watch it with the aforementioned Dr. Cox.
-Did you hear about the supposed missing link?
When I get to long-dead lemurs, I know it’s time to stop. Plus the Doctor will be awake soon, and one never knows what he’ll have planned for the day…
