Heading to NYC for the annual meeting of the American Association of Independent Music — the trade group representing the indie labels. I’m going as a Future of Music emmisary; our two groups have collaborated on sundry studies and campaigns, etc.

I’m only gonna be in the City for a total of seven hours, but there-and-back from DC is about six extra hours on top of that. So, a long day, in other words. I was gonna stay in NYC, but I’m on deadline for so much work-related stuff that I couldn’t justify it.

I have a lot of posts in my head — from health care to North Korea (again) to the Madoff sentencing to recording — but I guess they’ll just have to wait.
