In case you didn’t know, I’m at the Future of Music Policy Summit.
This morning I live interviewed Daniel Ek of shit-hot digital music service Spotify. I thought maybe I’d get some news about the US launch, but he hedged. Licensing is a bitch. (And then your digital start up dies? Surely not in this case — Spotify has practically gobbled Europe.)
Just a minute ago, we had WIRED’s Eliot Van Buskirk live interview with Brian Message of Radiohead‘s management team.
Oh, and Ian McKaye was awesome in his convo with the legendary Wayne Kramer of MC5.
The day is nowhere near over yet. I have a two-hour breakout session to moderate, called “Critical Condition: the Future of Music Journalism.” Some superstars in that room, lemme tell ‘ya.
My job rules.
