Free Music For Your Help

EmergingMySpace

Friends,

As an experimental musician and public librarian, my ability to offer financial assistance to those in need is somewhat limited. Therefore, I have a simple offer for you all: if you send me a message telling me that you donated to the Haitian relief efforts, I will send you a link to a free mp3 copy of my new album. You can send me a DM on Twitter (@sacredmusick), on facebook (facebook.com/wesley.covey) or via email (things10thousand @ gmail.com). I don’t need to know how much you donated, or even to which group. I trust that you will not lie to me, and will have made a donation already or will proceed to do so. It’s that simple.

As to what you get, it’s a free mp3 copy of Emerging From the Earth, by The Ten Thousand Things (note: my website has not been updated in years. I’m working on it.). I am pretty shit at self-promotion, but here goes: Emerging From the Earth is musickal alchemy. Working on the idea of combining elements of our natural world into something that transcends everyday reality, forming gold out of everyday lead, I have used guitars, bass, vocals and samples to create an album of spiritual drones. This is aural mysticism, seeking communion with a higher power through meditatively repetitive sound. Samples can be heard here.

May you all be well, and please join me in thinking creatively about how to help.

WOW! no good at self promotion you say lol… real talent promotes itself just by being my friend.

With GREAT understanding do I give you these words, don’t give up dude, you harbor great things in you.

How can I say that? Is one creeping/sucking up? JUST to fit in @ContrarianMedia(N)?

Like I keep trying to tell folk, I’m just a gamer (TRoN chortles with much fervour), however I am an extremely talented one. This is no boast merely a statement of #fact (Fecking twitter). This be the thing, no one understands me, but my games do, they get it… just like I get them!

I have a friend who I consider, very artistic, extremely talented, a wonderful calming soul, that just makes me look at him with awe. His qualities far outwiegh that of my own, but he, like I (have just demonstrated), have this inate low self worth.
Tbh it’s more than that, and once more I find myself unable to give you the words needed right now… but one can safely say the modern world is most complex.

You know Wes I bet you’re a right nice fellow to talk with, to me you’re an extremely interesting human. LOVING Ten Thousand Things.

‘Even in silence, there is noise’… yeah kinda noticed that (awesome…physics lol).

BUT have you ever noticed the silence in all the chaos? Actually that’s not fair…as I haven’t either, but there is a point where you can get to when… well T. Leaves you to find it for yourselves, makes it more fun for everyone.

Wes Covey

Actually, the full quote (taken from the Tao Te Ching, as is the name The Ten Thousand Things) is “Even in silence there is noise… even in noise there is silence.” All things are in all things.

Thanks for the kind words, TRoN…

Aha that would of been the other thing I should/could click on. (BAH!!! net fuckwit)Ahhhh grasshopper, this be the Ying & Yang you speak of :)

Though my understanding (I do love your Y&Y quote though) through a family friend teaching me a little Kung-Fu is Hard & Soft.

The soft was Tai-Chi, and form/beauty, an understanding of balance… For if we do not have balance (grasshopper (I don’t care I’m laughing)) how can we achieve;
The hard is the function through which you expressed/focused, the balance of both powers.

These are the powers that encase our hearts, soft gentle, devastating powerful… and sometimes if we’re lucky the perfect balance, to allows us to enjoy the ride. Electrons are just so awesome. I mean humans.

I just wanted to say RIP my uncle Chris, funny little Irish fellow, but knew plenty.

Hard=soft
Soft=Hard

Never detach yourself too far from the things that anger you, because if you can focus it into one inch on the end of your fist, you can knock the world out.

Just trying to help mate.

I know you’re a reader & musician, and quite a bit more, but do you ever play video games?

(PS sorry for any spellonk errors folks, my spell checker wasney working…t’is now)
