The new MGMT album is really something. I didn’t hate their first one, even though the car ads and frat kids made it extremely hard not to. The new record, Congratulations, isn’t likely to be in many commercials. That is, unless LSD gets decriminalized and repackaged by Big Pharma as “Triposec.” Listening to Congratulations makes me feel like I’m coming down from an acid trip — kind of dazed, not exactly mellow, but definitely hyper-sensitive to random air pockets of oddity. Not that I’d know what this feels like — I read it in a book. Seemingly so did MGMT: it’s called Diary of a Drug Fiend by that perennially misundersood metaphysician Aleister Crowley. I was hipped to this little factoid by the New York Times. Of course they spelled Uncle Al’s name wrong.

By now, you’ve seen that Insane Clown Posse video about all those motherfuckin’ miracles. Well, that’s just the tip of the Juggalo iceberg. Here’s a handful of my all-time favorite ICP-related clips. Most have been kicking around for a minute, but they’re all good, my ninjas:
First, the AMAZING video for “Miracles”:

Remember that ’80s short doc about the Judas Priest tailgate party, Heavy Metal Parking Lot? Well, this is the Juggalo version:
I’m thinking that if MGMT had Juggalos for fans, all would be right with the world.
