The HBO occult-noir police procedural “True Detective” has brought us esoterica nerds out of our crawlspaces. Since the show began its run back in January, word of mouth has spread about its acerbic writing and uncanny mood, as well as top-notch acting by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, who play Criminal Investigation Division detectives...
Perfect for your dorm room at Miskatonic University!
This HP Lovecraft-inspired work is by Godmachine, and I think I want it. “Cthulhu” is signed and numbered 18″ x24″ 4 color screen-print on white paper, signed and numbered for a mere 32 clams (or should I say, squid.) This is a limited run of 50, so act fast, cultists...
Here's a somewhat amusing trailer for an upcoming horror-comedy called The Last Lovecraft: The Relic of Cthulhu.
Jeff is an ordinary guy that is stuck at a dead end job with a boring life, but when a strange old man gives him an Ancient relic and tells him that he is the last bloodline of H.P. Lovecraft, He and his friend Charlie embark...
It's a friggin' ghost town around here. Are blogs dead? Not this one.
Let's have some fun with a few videos that were sent to me by credible sources.

It's been a busy political season here in DC (when isn't it?), and the last several weeks have required an "all-hands-on-deck" approach to issues messaging. It doesn't seem like things will slow down anytime soon, but I think I've got the balance pretty well figured out. Thanks to all of our ace contributors for holding down the fort!

I finished another video for the Eldritch Musicks project; I think I'm getting a bit better at it. On the other hand, me and iMovie are gonna be breaking up real soon. For some reason, it wouldn't allow m to export the clip in any form or fashion, but it did let me put it on DVD. So then I had to use Handbrake (not a bad little...
From my new record, Eldritch Musicks. HP Lovecraft, blah, blah, blah. Buy the CD (with sundry extras) here, or grab it from iTunes or eMusic or wherever heavily compressed digital audio files are sold!
Here's the latest video for my new record, Eldritch Musicks, which is loosely based on the weird fiction of HP Lovecraft and other masters of curdled prose. Head here for more info on the project.
This clip was assembled in iMovie, which I loathe. It's only the second video I've ever done, so cut me some...
Goes great with a smoky-peaty single malt!
Yesterday was the official release of my new record, Eldritch Musicks. I've got the CDs in hand, and the album has populated to the majority of online stores, like iTunes, eMusic and Amazon MP3. To those of you who preordered, I expect to ship by week's end — just waiting on the padded envelopes to materialize.
Astute readers may have noticed the blinking banner ad on the right hand side of your screen. (Fine, you don't have to be astute, merely sighted.) The reason for the blinky thing is because I am gearing up for the release of my new album, Eldritch Musicks.
I have written briefly about it before, but I didn't want to bore you with more details...

Is this a new Contrarian feature? Too early to tell. It does, however, seem grimly appropriate on this overcast Mid Atlantic morning. Were those tendrils I just glimpsed in the slow-moving fog?
Lonely? Job getting you down? Murderous impulses on the Metro? Maybe you just need a little Necronomicon in your life. This...
